On Sunday we went to see a garden belonging to one of my MIL's friends. It was beautiful, with something new and interesting at every turn. So I wanted to share it with you...
I am apparently really loving the b&w lately. The color of this daylily was beautiful, but what I loved about this picture the most was the texture....the petals almost look like ribbons.
Happy Father's Day to my amazing dad. I have always known how lucky I am to have such a great father... Of course I don't remember those early years but I watch him with my sons, my nieces, my nephew, and realize how blessed my childhood was.
To all of his children and grandchildren (and believe me, there are a bunch of us)... he gives freely of his time, goes out of his way to make us feel special, and the smile on his face shows that he truly enjoys every minute of it.
Lamby Pie. Ah, sweet Lamby Pie. She went everywhere with us for the first three years of Carter's life. A blanket and recording of "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" were lovingly worn away. We tried to buy a just-in-case double of Lamby Pie, only for Carter to immediately know the difference, name it 'Nother Lamby, and begin carrying them both around. He used to rub it's tail between his fingers and on the bottom of his feet when he was sleepy. If anything ever happened to Lamby Pie, I think that I would be devastated.
Thanks to my mom for going along with my crazy ideas. In an attempt to make my boys sleep past sunrise this summer, We (or rather, she) made some curtains for the twins room by sewing some fabric onto room darkening panels (thus making them much cuter).
Yes, the rod needs to be raised, but here was our (um, her) finished product.
Today was Wild Wednesday at VBS for the twins. They wore their shirts backwards, crocs that didn't match, and CRAZY hair!
Well, Carter has been asking for a mohawk for two years now (ahem, thanks Suzanne!), so when he saw spiky hair, he wanted a mohawk. So this is how he went to VBS today.
